The buil\u00adding is loca\u00adted in the Weser\u00adquar\u00adtier of \u00dcber\u00adsee\u00adstadt in Bre\u00admen. The site, directly on the Weser, is part of a large for\u00admer port and indus\u00adtrial area that has been com\u00adple\u00adtely rede\u00adve\u00adlo\u00adped. The office buil\u00adding pro\u00adjects over the Weser pro\u00adme\u00adnade from the second floor upwards, allo\u00adwing an unob\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adted pan\u00ado\u00adr\u00adamic view upstream and down\u00adstream thanks to an all-glass fa\u00e7ade. A com\u00adple\u00adtely gla\u00adzed tran\u00adsom rests on V\u2011shaped sup\u00adports that extend over two storeys. It is inten\u00added to look like a con\u00adtai\u00adner facing the Weser \u2014 and at the same time have a \u201cfloa\u00adting character\u201d. <\/p>\n\n

The can\u00adti\u00adle\u00advered struc\u00adture with a total height of 24.68 m, a width of 20.70 m and a maxi\u00admum length of 48.60 m is an office buil\u00adding that can be used flexibly.<\/p>\n\n

The 7 office flo\u00adors offer a total gross floor area of 5,974 m\u00b2 above ground. The base\u00adment, which is partly used for sto\u00adrage and as an under\u00adground garage, has a gross floor area of 939 m\u00b2. <\/p>\n\n

The buil\u00adding pro\u00adject is a rein\u00adforced con\u00adcrete ske\u00adle\u00adton con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion with a curtain-type mul\u00adlion-tran\u00adsom fa\u00e7ade or box win\u00addow fa\u00e7ade. On the ground floor and 1st floor, the rein\u00adforced con\u00adcrete columns are loca\u00adted on the out\u00adside as a frame\u00adwork of incli\u00adned columns. The part of the 2nd to 6th flo\u00adors pro\u00adjec\u00adting towards the Weser is sup\u00adported by incli\u00adned columns as steel com\u00adpo\u00adsite columns. The cen\u00adtral core is made of rein\u00adforced concrete.<\/p>\n\n

As a fur\u00adther spe\u00adcial fea\u00adture, WQ1 is one of the first buil\u00addings in Bre\u00admen to receive DGNB Sil\u00adver cer\u00adti\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion. This means that the envi\u00adron\u00adment and energy resour\u00adces are pro\u00adtec\u00adted in the long term. <\/p>\n\n
