On Wed\u00adnes\u00adday, June 14, 2023, we chris\u00adtened our new suc\u00adtion hop\u00adper dred\u00adger with the name \u201cHEGEMANN V\u201d. The chris\u00adtening took place in Bre\u00admer\u00adha\u00adven at 11:00 a.m. in beau\u00adtiful suns\u00adhine (so the chris\u00adtened ves\u00adsel did\u00adn\u2019t have to freeze) at Island\u00adkai. Heike Ahrens-Kulen\u00adkampff, Chair\u00adwo\u00adman of the non-pro\u00adfit Det\u00adlef Hege\u00admann Foun\u00adda\u00adtion and the non-pro\u00adfit Ursula Hege\u00admann Foun\u00adda\u00adtion, acted as god\u00admo\u00adther of the HEGEMANN V at the ceremony. <\/p>\n\n

REVIEW | Order & Con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion<\/strong>
At the end of June 2020, a con\u00adtract was signed with the Dutch shi\u00adpy\u00adard group Kooiman Marine Group for the con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion of a new suc\u00adtion hop\u00adper dred\u00adger with the working title \u201cHEGEMANN V\u201d. The ship was to have a length of 76 m, a hold volume of around 1900 m\u00b3 and be ope\u00adra\u00adted with die\u00adsel-elec\u00adtric sys\u00adtems. This meant that the suc\u00adtion hop\u00adper dred\u00adger had to meet the hig\u00adhest cur\u00adrent emis\u00adsion requi\u00adre\u00adments. The HEGEMANN V is desi\u00adgned to ope\u00adrate world\u00adwide 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a crew of 8. <\/p>\n\n

REVIEW | Laun\u00adching, towage, deli\u00advery<\/strong>
On Janu\u00adary 18, 2022, the HEGEMANN V was laun\u00adched at the shi\u00adpy\u00adard in Kla\u00addovo (Ser\u00adbia), where the ship was put into the water. From there, it was towed along the Danube to the Roma\u00adnian sea\u00adport of Con\u00adstanza. Howe\u00adver, the HEGEMANN V\u2019s jour\u00adney did not end here. The plan\u00adned route included the Black Sea, the Bos\u00adpo\u00adrus, Malta, Sar\u00addi\u00adnia, the Strait of Gibral\u00adtar, the Eng\u00adlish Chan\u00adnel and Rot\u00adter\u00addam. The HEGEMANN V was towed along the entire route, which was a major chall\u00adenge, par\u00adti\u00adcu\u00adlarly due to the length of the route. Her final desti\u00adna\u00adtion (before deli\u00advery) was finally at the Kooiman shi\u00adpy\u00adard in Zwijndrecht. <\/p>\n\n

The invest\u00adment of around EUR 20 mil\u00adlion demons\u00adtra\u00adtes the long-term importance of the dred\u00adging busi\u00adness seg\u00adment for the HEGEMANN-REINERS GROUP.<\/p>\n\n
