The tidal influence and ship\u00adping traf\u00adfic on the Weser have led to con\u00adsidera\u00adble ero\u00adsion in the area of the beach sec\u00adtion in recent years. With the help of the HEGEMANN IV and flus\u00adhing pipes, around 85,000 m\u00b3 of sand is being washed up on the shore to res\u00adtore the beach sec\u00adtions. The last time the sand was washed up was in&nbsp;1994.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The hold of the HEGEMANN IV con\u00adta\u00adins approx. 1,400 m\u00b3 of sand per trip, which comes from main\u00adten\u00adance dred\u00adging of the Weser navi\u00adga\u00adtion chan\u00adnel. The sand\/water mix\u00adture is flus\u00adhed onto the beach using flus\u00adhing pipes. The sand is then spread and instal\u00adled using a bull\u00addo\u00adzer. The flus\u00adhing pipes are exten\u00added step by step by 12 m long sec\u00adtions in order to work off the entire \u201cWar\u00adfle\u00adther&nbsp;Sand\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The work will be car\u00adried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Com\u00adple\u00adtion is expec\u00adted at the begin\u00adning of August.<br>Ano\u00adther sec\u00adtion of beach in the Els\u00adfleth area will be ref\u00adloa\u00adted in sum\u00admer&nbsp;2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July
