As part of the major Stutt\u00adgart 21 pro\u00adject, AUGUST REINERS has been invol\u00adved in PFA 1.5, Lot 2 for the con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion of the Feu\u00ader\u00adbach tun\u00adnel since May 2012. The over\u00adall pro\u00adject includes the con\u00adver\u00adsion of the ter\u00admi\u00adnus sta\u00adtion into an 8\u2011track, lower-lying through sta\u00adtion for long-distance and regio\u00adnal traf\u00adfic. Com\u00adpared to the cur\u00adrent loca\u00adtion of the main sta\u00adtion, the future main sta\u00adtion will be rota\u00adted by approx. 90 degrees. It will be con\u00adnec\u00adted under\u00adground by fee\u00adder lines from Feu\u00ader\u00adbach, Bad Cannstatt, Ober- and Unter\u00adt\u00fcrk\u00adheim and the Fil\u00adder plain. <\/p>\n\n

The Feu\u00ader\u00adbach tun\u00adnel beg\u00adins at the Feu\u00ader\u00adbach stop, for which the main line coming from Mann\u00adheim is lowe\u00adred at Borsig\u00adstra\u00dfe. Via a new trough struc\u00adture to be built, a tun\u00adnel with a cover con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion and after crossing under the SSB and S\u2011Bahn tracks by mining means, the main\u00adline rail\u00adway line will first be rou\u00adted to the new through sta\u00adtion in a dou\u00adble-track tun\u00adnel and then in two sin\u00adgle-track tunnels. <\/p>\n\n

The over\u00adall con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion pro\u00adject includes the fol\u00adlo\u00adwing ser\u00advices: Struc\u00adtures using the cut-and-cover method: Retai\u00adning walls; pede\u00adstrian under\u00adpass; res\u00adcue access; trough struc\u00adture; cut-and-cover con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion; struc\u00adtures using the mining method: Pra\u00adgue access tun\u00adnel (L=319m); Feu\u00ader\u00adbach bran\u00adching struc\u00adture (dou\u00adble-track, 320m); two sin\u00adgle-track tubes of the rail\u00adroad tun\u00adnel (1 x L=2,449m, 1 x L=2,426m); five con\u00adnec\u00adting struc\u00adtures; mining under\u00adcut\u00adting of the SSB and S\u2011Bahn tracks in a rec\u00adtan\u00adgu\u00adlar pro\u00adfile under the pro\u00adtec\u00adtion of a bored pile wall and a DSV advance support.<\/p>\n\n

The main\u00adline tun\u00adnels to and from Stutt\u00adgart \u2014 Feu\u00ader\u00adbach are dri\u00adven from an inter\u00adme\u00addiate hea\u00adding with three main hea\u00addings. The tun\u00adnel por\u00adtal of the ZA Pra\u00adgue inter\u00adme\u00addiate hea\u00adding is loca\u00adted at the east por\u00adtal of the exis\u00adting Pra\u00adgue Tun\u00adnel. The tun\u00adnel has a total length of 319 m and a gra\u00addi\u00adent of 7.11%. The two sin\u00adgle-track tun\u00adnels begin behind the Feu\u00ader\u00adbach bran\u00adching struc\u00adture and end at the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion to Lot 3. They are 2,449 m and 2,426 m long respec\u00adtively. Due to the par\u00adtial tun\u00adnel loca\u00adtion in unle\u00ada\u00adched, anhy\u00addrite-bea\u00adring gyp\u00adsum keu\u00adper, dif\u00adfe\u00adrent cross-sec\u00adtion types and thus con\u00adstant adapt\u00ada\u00adtion of the tun\u00adnell\u00ading work to the geo\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal con\u00addi\u00adti\u00adons are neces\u00adsary. Exten\u00adsive grou\u00adting work is also plan\u00adned. This will be fol\u00adlo\u00adwed by the inner shell work. <\/p>\n\n

Prior to the con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion of the trough struc\u00adture and the tun\u00adnel using the cut-and-cover method, exten\u00adsive site cle\u00adarance work is requi\u00adred in the track area at the Feu\u00ader\u00adbach stop. This includes the con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion of a new pas\u00adsen\u00adger under\u00adpass and the con\u00adver\u00adsion of the plat\u00adforms. The exis\u00adting 2\u2011track long-distance rail\u00adway line and sub\u00adur\u00adban rail\u00adroad line are to be swung into various inter\u00adme\u00addiate sta\u00adtes and into a final state under rail\u00adroad ope\u00adra\u00adtion so that the long-distance rail\u00adway fee\u00adder line can be built in an island posi\u00adtion. The spe\u00adcial tasks of this pro\u00adject are made up of num\u00ade\u00adrous influen\u00adcing fac\u00adtors. In addi\u00adtion to the gene\u00adrally cram\u00adped inner-city con\u00addi\u00adti\u00adons, espe\u00adci\u00adally in the area of the Feu\u00ader\u00adbach stop, the local public trans\u00adport ser\u00advice that has to be main\u00adtai\u00adned there leads to con\u00adsidera\u00adble time, space and logi\u00adsti\u00adcal rest\u00adric\u00adtions. The main chal\u00adlenges for the mining drive are the com\u00adplex and sen\u00adsi\u00adtive geo\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal con\u00addi\u00adti\u00adons as well as the par\u00adti\u00adcu\u00adlarly high emis\u00adsion requi\u00adre\u00adments in terms of noise and air pol\u00adlu\u00adtion con\u00adtrol. In addi\u00adtion, the entire pro\u00adject is in the public eye, which requi\u00adres a sen\u00adsi\u00adtive approach. <\/p>\n\n
