At the begin\u00adning of August, by far the lar\u00adgest under\u00adwa\u00adter con\u00adcrete base in the history of AUGUST REINERS Bau\u00adun\u00adter\u00adneh\u00admung GmbH was pro\u00addu\u00adced. For this pur\u00adpose, around 10,800 m\u00b3 of under\u00adwa\u00adter con\u00adcrete was con\u00adti\u00adnuously pro\u00adces\u00adsed by a team of 15 pro\u00adfes\u00adsio\u00adnal divers at a depth of 8 m using the con\u00adtrac\u00adtor pum\u00adping method. This cor\u00adre\u00adsponds to the mass of a soc\u00adcer pitch, which is com\u00adple\u00adtely fil\u00adled with 1.5 m of concrete. <\/p>\n\n
The con\u00adcre\u00adting took one week, with 1,500 con\u00adcrete mixers being unloa\u00added at the con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion site. The site team spent months pre\u00adpa\u00adring the large con\u00adcrete pour in a floo\u00added excava\u00adtion pit down to the smal\u00adlest detail. This was the only way to ensure tech\u00adni\u00adcal suc\u00adcess.
The com\u00adple\u00adtion of the under\u00adwa\u00adter con\u00adcrete base also marks the start of the shell con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion of the west side of the har\u00adbor rail\u00adway tun\u00adnel of the new A26 free\u00adway route in Ham\u00adburg. In the next step, the ground\u00adwa\u00adter (40,000 m\u00b3) now trap\u00adped by the under\u00adwa\u00adter con\u00adcrete base will be pum\u00adped out of the excava\u00adtion pit. After drai\u00adning and clea\u00adning, the excava\u00adtion pit will be han\u00added over to the con\u00adcrete con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion team. <\/p>\n\n
Com\u00adple\u00adtion of the entire shell of the tun\u00adnel under the port rail\u00adroad is sche\u00addu\u00adled for 2027. The next mile\u00adstone is the relo\u00adca\u00adtion of the port rail\u00adway line to the first three com\u00adple\u00adted tun\u00adnel blocks and is expec\u00adted to be rea\u00adched in spring 2025. <\/p>\n\n
