The Ger\u00adman Elec\u00adtron Syn\u00adchro\u00adtron (DESY) is buil\u00adding a new Inte\u00adgra\u00adted Tech\u00adno\u00adlogy and Start-up Cen\u00adter (ITGZ I) in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld.<\/p>\n\n

DESY is a rese\u00adarch cen\u00adter of the Helm\u00adholz Society and part of the \u201cSci\u00adence City Ham\u00adburg Bah\u00adren\u00adfeld\u201d deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment area. Basic rese\u00adarch is con\u00adduc\u00adted here and rese\u00adarch is car\u00adried out in num\u00ade\u00adrous expe\u00adri\u00admen\u00adtal areas. In total, the DESY site in Ham\u00adburg com\u00adpri\u00adses more than 100 buil\u00addings of all kinds, inclu\u00adding office and labo\u00adra\u00adtory buil\u00addings, expe\u00adri\u00admen\u00adtal and sto\u00adrage halls, work\u00adshops, etc. The first buil\u00addings were con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adted in the early 1960s and the site has been con\u00adti\u00adnuously expan\u00added ever since.<\/p>\n\n

The ITGZ I is plan\u00adned with a 3\u2011storey base zone with a height of approx. 14 m and a 6\u2011storey tower area with a height of approx. 32.70 m. There will be a cen\u00adtral core zone with a large atrium and an inner cour\u00adty\u00adard, from which the cen\u00adtral mee\u00adting and com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion areas will lead off. The office and labo\u00adra\u00adtory areas are arran\u00adged in a ring around this core zone. <\/p>\n\n

The buil\u00adding is a rein\u00adforced con\u00adcrete ske\u00adle\u00adton struc\u00adture with addi\u00adtio\u00adnal load-bea\u00adring and stif\u00adfe\u00adning rein\u00adforced con\u00adcrete walls. The floor slab is con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adted as a con\u00adti\u00adnuous flat foun\u00adda\u00adtion wit\u00adhout struc\u00adtu\u00adral joints and in various thicknesses. <\/p>\n\n

Approx. 8,000 m\u00b3 of con\u00adcrete, approx. 2,900 m\u00b2 of peri\u00adme\u00adter insu\u00adla\u00adtion, approx. 3,100 m\u00b2 of bitu\u00admi\u00adnous water\u00adpro\u00adofing and approx. 1,500 t of rein\u00adforce\u00adment will be installed.<\/p>\n\n

The con\u00adtract also includes the ear\u00adthworks. Con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion star\u00adted in Novem\u00adber 2024 and the shell is expec\u00adted to be com\u00adple\u00adted in Octo\u00adber 2025.<\/p>\n\n
