The con\u00adcre\u00adting of the first tun\u00adnel cei\u00adling was suc\u00adcessfully com\u00adple\u00adted in mid-March 2025. This important pro\u00adgress not only ensu\u00adres that the freight rail\u00adway line will be relo\u00adca\u00adted on sche\u00addule in June 2025, but also repres\u00adents a decisive step in the fur\u00adther deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of the entire pro\u00adject \u2014 of the utmost importance for our cus\u00adto\u00admer, DEGES GmbH! <\/p>\n\n

Why is this mile\u00adstone so important?<\/p>\n\n

The port rail\u00adway line, one of the most important trans\u00adport rou\u00adtes for goods from the sea\u00adport of Ham\u00adburg to the inland, curr\u00adently runs to the east of our tun\u00adnel con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion site and will be swung onto the first three tun\u00adnel blocks we have com\u00adple\u00adted during a four-day train clo\u00adsure in June 2025. The resul\u00adting con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion free\u00addom will give the go-ahead for our work on the eas\u00adtern con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion pit. <\/p>\n\n

Thanks to the extra\u00ador\u00addi\u00adnary com\u00admit\u00adment of our team on site, as well as our busi\u00adness part\u00adners, we, as a relia\u00adble part\u00adner, remain on track with the imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of the ambi\u00adtious con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion sche\u00addule and, tog\u00ade\u00adther with the cli\u00adent, are con\u00adfi\u00addently loo\u00adking for\u00adward to the mile\u00adsto\u00adnes still to be achie\u00adved in the project.<\/p>\n\n

After com\u00adple\u00adtion of the shell of the first three tun\u00adnel blocks in April 2025, a fur\u00adther 23 tunnel\/trough seg\u00adments still need to be built \u2014 13 of these in the west excava\u00adtion pit alre\u00adady con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adted and 10 seg\u00adments in the east excava\u00adtion pit still to be con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adted. In addi\u00adtion to the chal\u00adlen\u00adging por\u00adtal struc\u00adtures, two fire water basins and an ope\u00adra\u00adti\u00adons buil\u00adding will also be added. <\/p>\n\n
