Hege\u00admann GmbH has been awarded the con\u00adtract for the second phase of dred\u00adging work on the Elbl\u0105g River in Pol\u00adand. The cli\u00adent is the Mari\u00adtime Aut\u00adho\u00adrity in Gdy\u00adnia. The pro\u00adject is part of the fourth con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion phase for the expan\u00adsion of the water\u00adway bet\u00adween the Vis\u00adtula Lagoon (Zalew Wi\u015blany) and the Bay of Gda\u0144sk. The goal is to deepen the navi\u00adga\u00adtion chan\u00adnel to a con\u00adsis\u00adtent depth of five meters, ther\u00adeby impro\u00adving navi\u00adga\u00adtion con\u00addi\u00adti\u00adons on the Elbl\u0105g River. <\/p>\n\n
The new con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion phase covers appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately 7.45 kilo\u00adme\u00adters bet\u00adween the Fri\u00adsches Haff and Point P1 near Elbl\u0105g. The work is being car\u00adried out by HEGEMANN GmbH in col\u00adla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adtion with its Dutch part\u00adner, Van den Herik Kus\u00adten Oever\u00adwer\u00adken B.V. The dred\u00adging work is being car\u00adried out while ship\u00adping traf\u00adfic con\u00adti\u00adnues, pla\u00adcing high demands on plan\u00adning and execution. <\/p>\n\n
As part of the over\u00adall pro\u00adject, archaeo\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal inves\u00adti\u00adga\u00adti\u00adons and mea\u00adsu\u00adres for envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal pro\u00adtec\u00adtion and nature con\u00adser\u00adva\u00adtion are also planned.<\/p>\n\n
