The Free Han­sea­tic City of Bre­men is plan­ning to con­s­truct a new buil­ding for the Georg-Droste-Schule (GDS)—featuring a sin­gle-court gymnasium—on the site of the for­mer school on Bar­do­wick­straße in Bremen’s Vahr dis­trict, in con­junc­tion with a new buil­ding for the Regio­nal Coun­seling and Sup­port Cen­ter East (ReBUZ Ost).

August Rei­ners Bau­un­ter­neh­mung GmbH was awarded the con­tract for the com­plete design and new con­s­truc­tion of the Georg-Droste School and the ReBUZ-Ost, inclu­ding a sin­gle-court sports hall at the Bar­do­wick­straße site. The con­s­truc­tion of the asso­cia­ted out­door faci­li­ties and open spaces is also included in the scope of work. The con­tract also includes inte­rim con­s­truc­tion finan­cing and long-term finan­cing for 7 years fol­lo­wing accep­tance, as well as ope­ra­tio­nal buil­ding manage­ment ser­vices for a period of 25 years.
