The Uni­ver­sity and Han­sea­tic City of Greifs­wald is buil­ding a new cen­tral buil­ding yard on the “Am Helms­hä­ger Berg” indus­trial and com­mer­cial estate in Greifs­wald. The 20,000 m² site will house admi­nis­tra­tion and office buil­dings, work­shops and washing halls for com­pany vehic­les, a grit­ting hall with a brine faci­lity as well as gara­ges, caports and sto­rage areas. 

When plan­ning the new buil­ding, par­ti­cu­lar empha­sis was pla­ced on sus­taina­bi­lity, such as a pho­to­vol­taic sys­tem, a com­bi­ned heat sup­ply and green roofs. The new buil­ding replaces the pre­vious out­da­ted buil­ding yard loca­ti­ons and crea­tes modern working con­di­ti­ons for around 100 employees. In Octo­ber 2025, AUGUST REINERS Bau­un­ter­neh­mung was awarded the con­tract for the exten­ded shell con­s­truc­tion work by the Uni­ver­sity and Han­sea­tic City of Greifswald.
