Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) is actively shaping the transition to sustainable mobility. New depots are needed to convert the bus fleet to electric operation. In the south-east of Berlin, two individual sites are being realized on Köpenicker Landstraße and Rummelsburger Landstraße.
As a joint venture (ARGE) with Bleck & Söhne Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH, we have been awarded the contract for lot 5 of the BVG. AUGUST REINERS Bauunternehmung GmbH provides the technical management and Bleck & Söhne Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH the commercial management.
Lot 5 involves the construction of the “Treptow depot” (previously: Süd-Ost depot) in Berlin-Köpenick for BVG. This involves the turnkey construction of an electric bus depot at Köpenicker Landstraße 297 directly on the River Spree. The site for the new depot in Köpenicker Landstraße (KLS) is around 44,000 m² in size.
Our scope of services includes the construction of a new administration building, a parking garage, a workshop complex with a security and service hall and ancillary workshops, a waste collection point and a fire water pumping station. In addition, we are implementing the technical equipment for other technical buildings.
For the administration building at the KLS site, a certification process in accordance with the BVG’s Sustainable Building Assessment System (BNB) is planned. The aim is to achieve the silver standard. According to BVG, around 200 e‑buses will be loaded and serviced at Köpenicker Landstraße from 2027 and around 600 employees will be working on the site.
