Berlin’s Zoologischer Garten station in the Charlottenburg district on Hardenbergplatz, in the immediate vicinity of Berlin Zoo, has been undergoing extensive refurbishment in several construction phases since the end of 2015.
The Building Construction | Berlin division has been awarded the contract for the 2nd and 3rd construction phases of the restructuring measures. The client is DB Infra GO AG. The work for this began in summer 2025 and is expected to last until 2027.
In the 2nd and 2nd construction phase, new rental units and functional rooms will be created in the Zoologischer Garten station, in the area of the S‑Bahn concourse, the connecting corridor and the Federal Police, and the premises of the Federal Police will be modernized. For this purpose, the existing areas will be dismantled down to the structurally load-bearing parts in the basement, first floor and partly on the mezzanine floor. The shell of the individual areas will be converted. During the construction work, the rest of Zoologischer Garten station will be fully operational.
