Ber­lin’s Zoo­lo­gi­scher Gar­ten sta­tion in the Char­lot­ten­burg dis­trict on Har­den­berg­platz, in the imme­diate vici­nity of Ber­lin Zoo, has been under­go­ing exten­sive refur­bish­ment in seve­ral con­s­truc­tion pha­ses since the end of 2015.

The Buil­ding Con­s­truc­tion | Ber­lin divi­sion has been awarded the con­tract for the 2nd and 3rd con­s­truc­tion pha­ses of the res­truc­tu­ring mea­su­res. The cli­ent is DB Infra GO AG. The work for this began in sum­mer 2025 and is expec­ted to last until 2027. 

In the 2nd and 2nd con­s­truc­tion phase, new ren­tal units and func­tional rooms will be crea­ted in the Zoo­lo­gi­scher Gar­ten sta­tion, in the area of the S‑Bahn con­course, the con­nec­ting cor­ri­dor and the Fede­ral Police, and the pre­mi­ses of the Fede­ral Police will be moder­ni­zed. For this pur­pose, the exis­ting areas will be dis­mant­led down to the struc­tu­rally load-bea­ring parts in the base­ment, first floor and partly on the mez­za­nine floor. The shell of the indi­vi­dual areas will be con­ver­ted. During the con­s­truc­tion work, the rest of Zoo­lo­gi­scher Gar­ten sta­tion will be fully operational.
